Neurodiversity can have a significant impact upon the individual with the diagnosis (or diagnoses) and those around them. I can offer a sensitive, patient, and thoughtful approach for anxiety, low mood, anger, difficulties with sleep, and general health that sometimes accompany these diagnoses. I mainly work with adolescents with suspected or confirmed ASC and/or ADHD. Scroll down to learn more.

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder
We will explore the most significant causes of distress and disharmony in your life and work together to identify ways to develop understanding and compassion, and do things differently. This is not about changing who you are, or who your child is. Instead we will celebrate the many wonderful things about neurodiversity while being creative about solving problems in your every day life.
I can support you with challenges within your family and friendships, or difficulties at school or in the workplace. This may involve working to understand and improve your relationships while taking the full context of your experiences into account.
We may use adapted therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Positive Behavioural Support for behaviours that are particularly challenging. We may also use Cognitive Analytic Therapy to explore repeating patterns of experiences over time - and whether these still work for you and your family. We may also draw from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy to understand how relational challenges begin and how to cope with interpersonal conflict.
Please note that I am not able to conduct assessment for either ADHD or ASC.
